Chapter 9

January 2026

Sam worried.

It had been a week since Chuck had gone out for a drink with his friends and he still hadn't returned.

Bella was speaking in full Egyptian tongue while she moved the hieroglyphic block with her mind.

Sam worried and about Chuck and why he was ignoring her mother. and the rest of the family who family.

Bella scared her

Now she said constant chants in Egyptian, while she ignored her mother, who was getting large with the new baby she carried.

It was August and she had to enroll Bella in school for September, but she worried about the powers that Bella possessed.

What would she do when she had free reign of the classroom.

She wondered about the chants that Bella spewed out.

She recorded them on a tape player, and would play them if and when Chuck ever came back.

One day almost two years after he left, Chuck came back to the house.

Chuck came into the house, and stared at the two children he had produced.

Bella's blue eyes turned red with the fury she felt for her father.

Chuck looked at the girl he had spawned.

He looked at her and went to lift her up.

He had missed so much.

He looked at the little red-headed boy she had named Attan, after many gods of Egypt that Bella spoke of, during her chants.

Bella stared at Chuck and called him the anti-Christ.

He left her mother alone to deal with it all.

Bella remembered Chuck and hated him.

She wanted, her and Attan to live happy lives without the scurge of evil that was Chuck.

Chuck had been back in the kid's lives for less than a day when Bella had a spell.

She began spouting Ancient Egyptian spells.

Attan who did not yet speak a word of English joined in.

Followed his sister's lead and spoke ancient Egyptian as he levitated above the coin he had captured from Bella.

The pair began spouting Ancient Egyptian spells.

Chuck risk everything down.

Sam had to read up on the spells she was casting,

Chuck needed to knoe ehat she was trying to do.

When Chuck saw little Attan levitating he all of a suddeb knewthe children weren't followimh white protocalls and knew he was in over his head.

Chuck recorded the girl casting the spells and all of a sudden realized he was not safe. He left the house again and realized no matter how much he loved Sam he was done.
