The Original Moment

Chapter 8

Sam stared shocked at Chuck as he felt his ears get hot.

"Bella stop what you're doing."

Bella stared at him with her eyes glowing red.

"It's bed time Bella!"

Bella picked up her block that had the hyrogliph on it and stared at it until it burned into a ball of fire.

A low almost demonic voice came out of Bella.

"The curse must be upheld."

Chuck began convulsing, and Bella pointed at Sam.

"There must only be one guardian."

And Chuck stopped convulsing.

Bella pointed at her father. "You are not the g
uardian's keeper."

Chuck looked at her.

"I am both of your keepers honey."

Chuck walked up to Sam. "How are we doing today?"

She rubbed her belly. The baby has not been as active as I expect. Bella was much more active."

He put his hands on her belly trying to feel the baby move.

No movement and then Bella opened her mouth.

"The child is not the true prince and must perish."

Sam felt something akin to contractions; and she began bleeding. "Chuck call an ambulance."

Chuck, who stopped bleeding now picked up his cell and made the call.

"You are not the real father. "Your wife does not want to keep the bloodline pure."

"I am the last of the Egyptian bloodline. The secondary one does not carry the power."

Bella made the block raise and spin around. Chuck noticed it was the block that carried the hieroglyphs. "The baby must not be saved. He is not the true pharaoh."

Chuck looked at his daughter, "What are you talking about Bella?"

"The rapist is the true livelihood of the evil pharoas of Egypt. The bloodline must be kept pure."

Bella felt the contractions in her belly. "You just have to hold on until the ambulance gets here."

Sam grabbed her belly and felt something akin to a contraction strike her.

It was then that the ambulance took her away.

Chuck pleaded for his family.

"Please take care of her."

He looked at Bella.

"If its a
between her or the baby save her."

The medic nodded and his family was taken away.

"We can always make another baby.

Sam watched her daughter as her eyes changed from blue to green. All of a sudden the block flew out and started spinning on the ground.

From what Sam read the spinning of the hieroglyph changed its meaning.

Sam had been back for two days now.

The doctor at the hospital said the baby was doing well.

Chuck put his arms around Sam's waiste and felt his son squirming around.

"Chuck we will make the perfect family."

Chuck paused and turned to Sam. "I'm going to go out for a beer with the boys and celebrabraie the baby boy on the way."

sam nodded and gave Chuck a hug. "We'll see you soon Chuck, we love you."

Bella stared at the area above Chuck and waved goodbye to him."

"He'll be back soon Bella."

ShBella was watching the only father" she had ever really known walk out of her life.

She saw the hieroglyph block raise up and spin around.

Bella's eyes focused on the block at whitch point it spun around and changed its meaning. She stared at her mother. and said. "He's not coming back, is he?"

Sam spun around to look at her daughter. "I really don't know Bella."
