Chapter 3

She was sitting in the restaurant waiting for Chuck and her parents to join her before they went shopping for new clothes for her and the baby on the way.

There was a onsie on the table that said "GRANDBABY ON THE WAY"

The couple and the father-to-be stared at the tiny onesie and their jaws hung open. "Really?!"

Sam nodded grinning wildly as she pushed her shirt over her belly just starting to pop and show evidence of a baby belly.

"Sam how long have you known?" Sam smiled about a month."

Sam walked up to Chuck. "Surprise!"

Chuck looked at her, at first not sure what to say?

"Boy or girl?

They would both be done high school come the summer.

"I don't think anyone will want a pregnant model so in this case, I guess you're safe."

Her father looked at her. "Are you sure this is what you want to do? You were so excited about Milan."

She rubbed her hand over her belly. "I have different priorities now."

Chuck walked up to her and rubbed her belly. "Yes, we both do."

She hugged Chuck and allowed him to touch her blossoming body.

She smiled at him showing the smile and the choclate brown eyes he had fallen in love with. "I hope to see you bef
ore then."

She felt movement in her belly and put her hand down to see if she could feel exterior movement. She took Chuck's hand and put it on her belly hoping he could feel it too.

"Can you feel her? She's excited to meet her daddy."

She stared at him and hoped that one day soon, her life would be complete. "I want us to be complete Chuck."

He stared at her and brought out the engagement ring that he had kept with him for years, in the hope that one day she would accept his offer.

Sam arrived home to see her mother and father getting supper ready.

She pulled the maternity shirt she was wearing close to her body.

Her father stared at her. "Your baby will be a mottled mess, just like you."

Sam felt tears coming to her eyes as she heard the truth come from the only father she had ever known.

"Daddy

I never meant to disappoint you."

"You little half-breed whore. Your child will not even be that. For the record I don't even know whose baby that is. I'm hoping you do."

She looked at him, hatred in her dark orbs. "I know better than your wife ever did."

"That's no way to talk about your mother!"

"My mother, yes, but she whored around you already know I'm not yours. Are you sure the others are indeed yours?"

He pulled back and slapped her. "You're a little tramp just like your mother aren't you?"

She immediately went downstais and ran out the door and called for Chuck.

"Chuck you have to come get me. I am never going back to my parent's house again."

Chuck hugged Sam and put his hands on the baby belly. "I love you and this baby so much already."

She stared at Chuck. "I was a virgin before we had sex, you have to believe this is your baby."

He looked at his precious little Samamtha. "I know she's ours, and don't let your father tell you otherwise again."

The baby was so active tonight. He put his hands on her belly. "Don't let anyone ever tell you my baby isn't ours."

Sam nodded with tears in her eyes.

Chuck hugged her and kissed Sam on the cheek.

Chuck pullled her into his bedroom and the couple went to sleep for a long and hopefully trouble free sleep.

Sam woke the next morning to a puddle of water covering her body and soaking the sheets she was sleeping on.

She tried to wake Chuck out of his deep sleep. "Chuck something is wrong.

"Sam go back to sleep, the doctor can check you out in the morning."

Her frightened voice woke him from his sleep-induced slumber. "There is something wrong with our baby."

"Sam come back to bed."

"I think I'm losing the baby Chuck. Call 911."

Chuck picked up the phone and called emergency services. Hang on Sam, the ambulance is on its way."

He paused and waited for the ambulance.

Chuck just hoped everything would be okay
